Organiser's Description
Come and join us for this BRAND NEW EVENT, starting and finishing in St. Mary’s Stadium, the home of Premier League football club Southampton FC!
This promises to be an exciting CLOSED ROAD event, around Southampton city centre. The route will go across the Northam Bridge, under the Itchen Bridge and through Ocean Village before finishing in the Stadium.
On Sunday 11th December 2022 you will have the unique chance to start Pitch side of St Mary’s stadium before heading out to take in all the sites of Southampton before finishing back inside the Stadium, with spectators watching on from the Kingsland Stand.
*THERE IS A STRICT 90 MINUTE CUT OFF TIME FOR THIS EVENT DUE TO THE ROAD CLOSURES!
The event will be in partnership with the club’s charity, The Saints Foundation.

How to Get There
From the city centre, the easiest way to access St Mary's Stadium is on foot. The stadium is a mile east of the city centre and around a 15-minute walk from the High Street.
Bus Services
Brinton’s Road is the closest bus stop to Southampton Football Club, and it is served by the following routes – 16, 18, 7, X4, X5.
Southampton Train Station
Southampton Football Club is approximately a mile from Southampton Central Station - roughly a 20-minute walk. The station is fully accessible to wheelchair users 24 hours a day.
Parking
Course Details
The routes will include gentle undulating tarmac paths before finishing under the arch on the gravel stretch adjacent to the event village
facilties
Baggage
The car park is located next to the start and finish line and we therefore recommend leaving any belongings in your car. There will be an informal baggage drop located within the Event Village. If you wish to use the baggage drop, please collect a baggage label from the information desk and attach it to your bag before handing it in.
You will need to show your race number again when collecting your bag to ensure each bag is reunited with its rightful owner.
Toilets
There will be toilets within the event village.
Refreshments
There will be water provided at the 5k point of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish.
During the race
We will have marshals all around the course as well as km signs and arrows.
Results
Results will be available on the website after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
