Organiser's Description

This fantastic 5K route is a great opportunity to explore the home of two 30-metre high horses! The Kelpies are mythical creatures who love to play at dusk, each one weighs over 300 tonnes. Come and immerse yourself in a light journey with them.

The Supernova 5K event is the perfect way to get involved in a timed 5K with your family and friends, whilst taking in the atmosphere and fun.

Events take place on both Friday 18th March at 8pm and Saturday 19th March at 7pm. Choose which one suits you best!

Course Details

Take a beautiful and iconic venue such as The Kelpies, wait until dusk, get the family together (and we mean everyone – grandparents, uncles, aunties, parents, kids, friends!), dig out the flourescent clothing and grab everything and anything that glows or flashes. Then set off on a Supernova 5K! The Supernova 5K event is the perfect way to get involved in a timed 5K with your family and friends, whilst taking in the atmosphere and fun. Starting & finishing within Helix Park, this beautiful route allows runners the rare opportunity to run alongside the iconic Kelpie sculptures, which are lit up and change colour at dusk to create a beautiful spectacle for participants and spectators alike!

How to Get There

There are a variety of travel options to get you to and from the event. We encourage runners and spectators to use public transport wherever possible. Please plan your journey in advance, including journey time on foot from public transport or a car park so that you can get to the Start/Finish area in plenty of time to prepare yourself.
