Did the swiftie 5k in Battersea park. Poorly organised, for several reasons: 1) queue system for collecting race numbers was confusing, people just wrapped around the bandstand whereas directing them down a path in one line would have been better. 2) Lots of being herded back and forth down the path off of the bandstand, seemingly just for them to take numerous drone shots before being herded back for the warm up. 3) Race started really late which meant we all been waiting around longer than expected and got very cold. Especially sad when there’s young kids and this is their intro to running! 4) Poor signage during the run. No one knew where the start line was! Was advertised as having a staggered start times for different speeds but this didn’t happen. Also advertised that there was pacers but that didn’t happen - there was people on bikes with speakers but no way to tell what pace each was supposedly going at 5) Best part was the Taylor Swift impersonator warm up but she only did one song, which was disappointing. They have the opportunity to make a great event but just need to think more carefully about logistics and ultimately about safety, especially with so many children in attendance.

Did the Battersea race today and it was the worst organised event I have ever done. Getting us to move back and forth; marshalls didn’t know what was going on, no one could hear the music or the warm up, couldn’t hear any instructions, no music on the course (people were listening out loud on their phones instead), and to top it off it started 45min late so we were just hanging around in the pouring rain and freezing cold. Everyone was fed up and it definitely wasn’t worth the £27; total exploitation of a loyal fan base. Please don’t waste your money on this kind of event.

Terrible Organisation! So many promises with such little delivered. Start 30 mins after original start time, with no communications. Just left standing in the rain. No signs to the start. Organisers moving people back and forth to different places, nobody seemed to know where the start line was. Seeing as the event this was Taylor Swift themed there was barely music at the start. A couple of bikes on the course that you could only hear if you were right along side. Plenty of people’s chip timing not recorded so not in results. Battersea Park is a great place to run around, just not with this company.

Fun in the end but organisation was poor. The queue to pick up our race number was ridiculously long (only 4 people seemed to be handing these out) and none of the staff seemed to know what was going on. The Taylor Swift impersonator did 1 song from the band stand, which no one could see. We also didn't understand what the race organisers wanted as none of them had mics. The pacers were also non existent. Overall, would not do again.

Conceptually this race was great: lots of people, young kids super excited. Organisationally it was a disaster: I wouldn’t book or participate with RunFanatics again. Presumably to preserve margin they didn’t send registration or bibs in advance. When arrived, c 500-1000 people queuing (made worse admittedly as raining) for 2 2x2 desks with four ppl manning. We waited 45 mins AFTER warm up time - so 30 mins post intended start time - for race but they were still only halfway thru the registration line. At this point we were so freezing and wet we ran the course on our own to be honest to our sponsors and then left. When we were leaving park c 1 hour and 15 mins after scheduled start time the race hadn’t started and still huge queue in rain. Music was basically non existent- theme was very token - and the few race officials they had had no idea where start line was. In short, nice idea, operationally extremely poorly executed and would avoid anything with run fanatics again: it’s clearly a commercial organisation focused on revenues and margin and not on actually putting on races and events for runners.

The swiftie event in London was absolutely horrendously organised - chip times are a mess, no one knew what was going on (the pacers didn’t even know when the race was starting/what they were pacing) it was FREEZING cold and left waiting for ages, no music?!?!?!? Half a song for a token warm up with an act no one could see, no signs through the park, no music (At all?!?!) and no goodie bag, lucky to get the water there was so many people at the stupid place it was positioned. It started so late that the spectators (my kids) were soaked and fed up and no atmosphere at all. Absolute shambles - if you look at their instagram, seems everyone had this experience.

One of the worst organised events I've ever been to. No signage, no communication of what was happening, started late half an hour late, no way of seeing or being a part of the warm up and the warm up was not running related in anyway, people were queuing for over an hour for their race numbers, the course had a 1km and 4km marker and that was it but they were both wrong (the 1km marker was 0.5km into the race). We were left standing for so long that any warm-up and stretching I'd done was no longer relevant and I got cramp as soon as we started running because the race start came out of nowhere. I took my friend to this for her first 5km and it was a disaster, the only upside is that she's asked if we can do a proper 5km race later in the year!

I really wanted to love this event, however execution was not quite where it needed to be. We arrived to the race village to pick up our numbers where a long queue had formed, only to get to the front to realise that there were in fact two queues and people had been pushing in because one event staff would say surname did matter and others would say it didn’t. The registration were due to finish at 11 but by 11:30 people were still queuing to collect their numbers. The impersonator was on for 1 song and majority of people were stood in the freezing cold with young children having no idea what was was going on. None of the staff had any microphones and we were walked to the start just to walk back to the village and then to walk back to the start. When the race eventually did begin the music blasting pacers were none existent and the majority of people were having to play Taylor from their phones. I think majority of the revenue generated was spent on the medal (which was probably the only good thing about the race). This had so much potential and I felt awful for the staff who really were trying their best. Do better RunFanatics. I will not be racing through you again.

Complete mess. They didn’t seem to know where they were starting the race and kept moving us about, wasn’t really any music consistently playing during the run and the warms up lasted about 20 seconds and didn’t seem to consist of real stretches.

A total shambles and waste Of money . Organisation dreadful , no loud speaker equipment. Couldn’t see or hear warm up . No instructions where to go for the start , left standing in the cold for 40 mins . No music on run . Better off just doing the Battersea Park Run as that is the exact route used .

Very badly organised with not much effort put into the thematic experience. Course was good though.

We were quite disappointed this event. Communication was quite good in advance and things seemed fine when we arrived, but it then went downhill. There was no swiftie warmup as advertised and none of the staff seemed to be sure of where the start line was when asked. There was a lot of waiting and being shuffled about, which was difficult as it was so cold and rainy. We ended up starting about 30 mins late which was frustrating as it was only a 5k! There also weren’t as many cyclists with speakers as advertised so with both that and the warmup missing, it didn’t feel very Swift-themed.

Eeek, I'm not one to complain but this was a pretty poorly organised event. There was soo much waiting around at the start, and for the expense we ended up with a very poor quality t-shirt for an extra £20, and 2 very cold children in tears. The medals were nice though!

Unfortunately this event was awful, probably the worst event I have ever attended. I’m not sure if there were enough staff, if there was then they were not visible. There was no loud speaker system and therefore communication was non existent, staff didn’t seem to know where the race start was leaving participants wandering around with no clue what was going on , the race started around 45 mins late , it was cold and raining and we were just left standing in a queue with no communication from staff. The Taylor Swift warm up appeared for about 5 mins but we were already at the back of the start queue so didn’t really see her. When the race started there were minimal staff, no music except when you passed the bandstand, people were listening to music on their phones. I brought a group of around 10 people to this event and feel extremely let down and embarrassed from the whole experience, you need to make drastic changes before putting on similar events. We were looking at attending the velopark event in the summer but that will not be happening now .

Read the article in the Sun and look on TikTok for reviews. Race started late, huge queues to collect bibs. Lots of waiting around in the cold as they walked us back and forth on the start line to get drone shots. Warm up was only one song and didn’t actually involve any stretching or warming up! Music was barely audible. Was advertised that there was pacers and graded start times but this didn’t happen. Incredibly badly organised which is unsafe considering how many children were in attendance. When we crossed the finish line all we got was a bottle of water there was no fruit left. I never got emailed my run time, either.

Organisation was poor leading to huge disorganised queues for runner registration.

I would have given the event zero stars if I could! Event was poorly organised and started more half an hour late. The swifty theme was not really there. Things that were promised beforehand, e.g. goody bags, pacers playing Taylor Swift music were not delivered. I also have not been given an official finish time for the race so it's felt like it's been a bit pointless. I appreciate it was the race organisers first time running an event but a lot of issues could have been foreseen. I'm pretty sure I could have organised a better race (happy to do it if you pay me). When all is said and done, it didn't go All Too Well.
