Event Day Information

Please drive all the way down to the Clubhouse and park in the car parking which will be signed. If you have friends or family who are coming to spectate make sure they arrive before 9.15am otherwise they will have to park in the parking further up the lake and walk down as we close part of the road once the race starts.

The Clubhouse has changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities. There is a cafe in the Clubhouse where you can get drinks, snacks and hot sandwiches.

We have a dedicated bag storage for your belongings which will be located next to the registration tent.

Registration will be open from 7.45am (you will see our Orange Gazebo before you get to the Clubhouse!) and will close at 9.30am.

Please make sure you have your race number and pin this to the front of your t-shirt for the bike and the run section.

You will receive a RACE CHIP. This will correspond with your race number. This is essential to record your time. Please make sure it is on before the start of the event and hand back to our team once you cross the finish line.

If you are not BTF registered you have to pay the £5 levy at registration. If you are BTF registered please remember to bring your license.

After registering you have to rack your bike. You MUST wear a helmet otherwise we are not allowed to let you participate. All bikes MUST be racked by 9.40am.

Under current British Triathlon Federation rules, the following temperatures are enforced for events to ensure the best safety of swimmers:

Swim Length Wetsuit Forbidden Above Wetsuit Mandatory Below
Up to 1,500m 22°C 14°C

Trisuits, swimming trunks etc are fine. If wetsuits are banned then competititors are ok to swim without tops on, so bare torsos are permitted, but only for the swim leg. Sports bras are fine, but again, athletes must cover up for the rest of the race.

You can leave your race gear in the transition area. ONLY those taking part are allowed in to transition.

We will provide swim caps which can be collected on the day.

The race will start at 10am sharp.

You will receive details of your wave group and time in an email about a week before the event.

The road will be closed at 9.15am. Anyone arriving after this time will have to park in the middle car park and walk down.

This is a non-drafting event

AFTER THE EVENT

Everyone will receive a medal and there will also be a number of prizes.

Drinks and refreshments will be available from the Clubhouse.

Please make sure you come prepared and have all your essential kit with you including wetsuits which are recommended for the swim and helmets which again MUST be worn on the bike.

Results will be up online within 48 hours of the event completion.

We’re excited to team up with the UK’s leading plant-based natural performance brand and community, TRIBE, for this year’s event. TRIBE will be providing delicious, natural and vegan [protein] bars designed to help you recover post event. Overall winners will receive a gift box! Thanks to Tribe for their support.

Can I find the race number list prior to the event?

Yes, your event race list will be online approximately a week prior to your event. Please make a note of your race number and that of friends as you will collect your race pack on the morning of the run.

What happens if I don't receive my race email?

If you don’t receive your race emails it may be because the wrong email address was inputted or the race email went in to your junk mail so please do check your junk mail carefully! Can I volunteer to marshal at the event?

Absolutely! If you miss out on a place or just want to help out on the day and marshal that would be great. If doing a virtual run you have the luxury of completing your event anytime, anywhere and for however long throughout the given event period!

Yes, we love too see dogs running with their owners! Please ensure your dog is on a short lead/harness and that you are careful on the course and respect other runners and park users.
