Belton House
back

Overview

The course is 5000m (5K) long. The course is at Belton House, Belton. The course is run on a mixture of trail paths and grass. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.

Course Description

The course consists of just over two anti-clockwise laps of the grounds of Belton House. Please take care there may be sheep and deer around the course. There may also be rabbit holes. The course starts adjacent to the car park with a 150m initial straight before turning right onto a stone track to head towards the back gate (Lion Gates) for approx 500m. The course then turns left onto grassed parkland and eventually follows a wooden perimeter fence. Runners then head back towards the house, eventually following the line of the electrified fence (do not touch!) and rejoin the stone path in front of the house. The route then passes the start (and then finish line) before embarking on the second lap of the course. After completion of the second lap, the finish line is adjacent to the sentry box just beyond the start line.
