Brant and Slape

Date & Location

Windermere, Cumbria

Organiser’s Description

A 203km cycling event starting from Windermere, named after a famous Cumbrian climbing route. A very scenic tour of the Lakes, Pennines and Dales. Visit the shore of Windermere then out of the Lakes via Kendal and Kirkby Stephen. Up to the highest pub in England, then stop for chips(?) in Barnard Castle. Head home via Arkengarthdale, Swaledale, Wensleydale, Sedbergh and Crook. Includes a couple of km of adventurous riding on Sleightholme Moor Road, but rideable on normal bikes. Hilly but no silly-steep bits.
