Organiser's Description
This marathon swim event is a unique and challenging opportunity for swimmers of all levels to test their endurance and stamina. The event consists of swimming 20 laps of 500 meters each, over a four-hour window, in a 50-meter pool. Participants will enter at one end, swim 100 meters, duck under the lane ropes, and swim another 100 meters until they reach the other side of the pool. They will exit over the timing mat and enter a dead zone, where they can rest, hydrate, and prepare for another lap. The goal is to swim 10 kilometres in total, or as much as possible within the time limit. Participants will be timed and scored based on their number of laps and their average lap time.
