CENTURION TRIATHLON HERTS

THE METRIC & IMPERIAL SWIM
You’ll need all your armour for the swim, which is two laps of the Stanborough Park amphitheatre for both events. Cut off – 1 hour 15mins from start.

THE LEGIONNAIRE SPRINT SWIM
A 750m swim on the same course.

THE METRIC & IMPERIAL BIKE
Helmets in place, Imperial and Metric combatants will follow the same bike course, but those tackling the longer distance will complete four rather than two laps. Cut off – 7 Hours after start.

THE LEGIONNAIRES SPRINT BIKE
The Legionnaires will undertake a 20.3K undulating Bike course.

THE METRIC & IMPERIAL RUN
For the run, you will complete a partial lap of Stanborough lakes park and out into the eastern boundaries of your empire. You will receive all the encouragement you need from the citizens of Welwyn before returning home. However the relief is short lived, as your fate will be sealed with one or more repetitions before you can be named a Centurion. Cut off – 10.5 Hours after race start.

THE LEGIONNAIRES SPRINT RUN
5K (2 laps) on an off-road course.

There will be an informal baggage drop area for you to leave any belongings within the transition area.

There will be toilets available.

Water will be provided on the run route and at the finish. Full info will be provided in the final details.

Race numbers will be collected at the the event venue on the morning of the race.

Registration opens at: 06.00am

The day license for Non-BTF members is included in the entry price.

There will be an online race briefing made available before the event, it is mandatory to have watched this as there will be no pre-race briefing on the day.

Please arrive in sufficient time to collect your race number

Please wear your number pinned to the front and back of your vest or alternatively, using a race belt, rotate the race number to the back for the bike leg and the front for the run leg.

Centurion Metric – Minimum age 18yrs (on/before 31st Dec 2022)

Centurion Imperial – Minimum age 19yrs (on/before 31st Dec 2022)

Legionnaire Sprint – Minimum age 15yrs (on 19/06/22)

Metric Distance Triathlon = 2Km Swim, 82Km Bike, 16Km Run

Imperial Distance Triathlon = 1.25 miles Swim, 83.75 miles Bike, 15 miles Run

Legionnaire Sprint Distance Triathlon = 750m swim, 20.3Km Bike, 5Km Run

Add a medal insert to commemorate your time; whether it’s your first race or a new PB! Available to purchase for an additional £8.

Simply add MEDAL INSERT on your registration form and you’ll be sent the insert in the mail shortly after race day, for you to apply to your medal and display proudly!

There will be a prizegiving to the top male and female finisher in each race on the day

There will be full results on the chip timing website both overall and by category.

Parking
A pay and display car park is available at Stanborough Lakes. Toilets will be provided at race HQ and out on the course.

Changing Facilities
We will not be providing a changing area, therefore please come changed and ready to race.

Baggage Drop

Active Training World does not offer refunds, transfers or deferrals for this event or any events listed on the website. If you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, family bereavement or jury service, you will only be eligible for a transfer or credit note on production of official evidence: Positive Covid-19 test result, Doctor’s note or equivalent.
