Draycote Water 10k - June

Draycote Water, Rugby, Warwickshire, UK

Organiser's Description

Warwickshire's best kept secret for road runners, Draycote Water offers smooth, flat road with stunning reservoir and countryside views. Running alongside the water, using dam wall pathways and a perimeter service road, you'll find mesmerising views of nature trails, wildlife and boats on the water as you notch up mile after mile. Some short inclines and downhill stretches keep the landscape changing around you, so you'll not get tired of your surroundings, even as you dig in to the later stages of a race.

You'll feel amazing energy from your fellow runners as you make your way around the Water towards a glorious home straight, where we'll be waiting with a finishers' medal, goody bag and a souvenir item of training kit - anything from a technical t-shirt to cold weather headgear.

Situated three miles south of Rugby and less than 15 minutes from the M1, this secluded site is gloriously peaceful and breathtaking in all seasons. Get yourself out of the city and discover Draycote Water - enter online to guarantee your place.

brilliant location

Easy to find with a big car park, friendly atmosphere.
Undulating course, walkers and cyclists share the paths but not an hassle
Traveled from Manchester to run a different event, well worth the time traveled
Good medal and goodies at the end
TRY IT !!!

Great venue

Well organised, great scenery for a 10k and bonus is it’s only one lap! Mostly flat and good for a PB. Would do it again and recommend to others!

Great place for a PB!

Great route for a 10k, undulating but mostly flat. Quiet and all off road with a nice reservoir to look at whilst running. Very enjoyable, very friendly venue only downside is all the billions of midges, and don't forget £4 for parking! Goodies at the end make up for it :)
