Houghton Le Spring, Durham

Alexander House, Rainton Bridge Business Park, Houghton Le Spring, DH4 5RA

Sat 8th June 2019

Organiser's Description

A 216-mile wind-themed cycle challenge from Durham to Edinburgh, through beautiful countryside, over challenging hills and down rolling descents, with an overnight stay by the lake in the stunning Kielder Forest. Now in its 5th year, this two-day event brings together people from across the renewable energy industry and beyond to raise funds for our work. In celebration of clean energy, the route passes by 11 wind farms as it winds its way up from Durham to Edinburgh. With leg-testing climbs and euphoric views, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved.
