Get ready for an exhilarating challenge at the Hell of a Hill Marathon Day 1, hosted by Time2Run Events on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in the picturesque Chorley, Lancashire. This unique event invites runners to tackle one of the toughest marathons around, featuring 26.2 miles of rugged stone and muddy trails, complemented by a staggering elevation gain of over 4,000 feet. Participants have the option to run 1, 2, 3, 4, or even all 5 marathons across five adrenaline-pumping days, starting and finishing at the scenic Heath Charnock.

Runners will embark on a 3.5-mile trail and country road run to reach the feed station, followed by five challenging laps of 3.85 miles over the iconic Rivington Pike. With a strict 9-hour time limit, this event promises to test your endurance and determination. Each marathon finisher will receive a unique Hell of a Hill medal, different for each day, along with a special award for those brave enough to complete all five marathons. Choose to run 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 of the 5 toughest marathons in 5 days - 4,000+ft of elevation gain each day, 26.2 miles of tough stone and muddy trails. Starting and finishing in Heath Charnock, Chorley, you will complete a 3.5 mile trail/country road run to the feed station, then 5 x 3.85 mile laps over the mighty Rivington Pike, then back along the 3.5 mile route to the finish. Strict 9 hour time limit!

Your entry Includes a unique Hell of a Hill Medal for each marathon completed (different each day), and an additional award for all 5 day marathon runners. Free refreshments before and after the race at race HQ - Bibbys Farm Scout Activity Centre. 13-17 November.

Sorry no electric hook up, hard standing is on the Farm car park approach

All campers have access to showers/toilets & washing up facilities 24hours a day

Sorry no dogs allowed on site

Race HQ will be located in the kitchen/canteen

No vehicles on the grass - after tent unloading please return your car to the car parks

The nearest pub/restaurant is only 0.5 miles from Race HQ

Course Details

Starting and finishing on the road at the back of Race HQ

A 3.50 mile trail/country road run to the feed station

Complete 5 x 3.85 mile laps over Rivington Pike

Then back along the 3.50 mile route to the finish outside Race HQ
