I didn't choose whether I am running 5k or 10k, did I need to?

No, unless the different distances show as an option on the event webpage when entering, you can decide whether you run 5k or 10k on the day.

Do we collect our Timing Chip and Race Number on the day of the event?

Yes, that is correct. Please make sure you arrive at least 45 minutes before the race start so you have plenty of time to collect them.

Am I allowed to wear headphones?

We’d strongly advise against it – the nature of the events means that you need to be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear marshals instructions.

Lovely marshals and a nice flat course. Not a huge event, but that meant that it felt like there was lots of space and that I wasn’t being held up in a big group. Marshals were very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. Course was completely flat so the main thing to battle with was the wind which was strong at times due to the open nature of the racecourse.

Highly recommended. Really well organised. Lovely venue. Very good race communication. I did not receive my race pack in the email but it wasn't a hassle at all. Lovely medal and really good race goodies. Got a great PB, what more could I ask!!!

Friendly, well-organised and enjoyable race. I ran my first 10km ever on Sunday 1st March and couldn't have asked for a better event to do so. Everything about the event was smooth from start to finish, parking was accessible and the stewards were all really helpful. The event village was clearly marked out and the hospitality was on point. Particularly enjoyed the snacks after the race! Some may say that was the only reason I did the 10km... Would definitely recommend and will certainly be going again next year, hopefully with better trainers and an improved time.

Really well organised. Relatively small event (c. 400 runners?) but really well organised. Event village was located and clear communication throughout. Nice flat course and lucky with the weather too!
