Unfortunately, we do not allow under 12s to participate in any live event. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 then we will need a parent or guardian to contact us before signing up so that we can advise them on how to register your place. Even though we are not a part of the UKA we still abide by their rules which means that the following ages are limited to the following distances. What facilities are available?

There are public toilets that will be open for our use from 8 am and they are located next to the visitor center near the start line.

Will there be first aid at this event?

All Rasselbock events with over 100 runners will have an external first aid team, smaller events will be taken on in house as all staff are first aid trained and certain marshals are trained also.

Organiser's Description

Welcome to Shipley Country Park in Derbyshire, an area steeped in history and was even mentioned in the Doomsday Book back in 1086! The land has been part of a stately home, hunting lodge, and, as always in this area, a coal mine. We’re be putting on a series of events celebrating the butterflies around the park (with some exotic choices sprinkled in). Hopefully, you can join us and add these unique medals to your Rasselbock collection.

We're back in April celebrating the Butterfly's fluffy friend, the moth. The Luna moth probably being the most iconic.

The aim for our events is to organize races that I would want to take part in, so you can expect amazing support, the best medals and goodies, and a small group of runners that is never any more than 150. Think of it as a small group of friends and family all coming together for an amazing day of running!

There is a time limit of 6 hours for this event. This means that you need to have completed your final lap before the end of the 6 hours for it to be counted towards your final distance. Each lap will be 5.45km long with a total elevation gain of just 80 meters for each loop. This means that if you complete 4 laps you have run a half marathon, 8 laps, a full marathon and 9 laps or more will be classed as an Ultra. You can finish your event at any time within the six hours, and as long as you have completed one lap then you will be classed as a finisher.
