One of the most scenic half marathons you could hope to run, with dramatic changes of scenery and terrain as you run from the mountains to the sea. A steam train takes you up to the start, 710ft up in the Moelwynion mountain range, in southern Snowdonia, and the race ends by the sea in Porthmadog. Downhill all the way? – it certainly isn't! There are plenty of challenging climbs along this exceptionally scenic route.
