Sat 18th May 2019

Organiser's Description

An annual event, the Tyne Trail Ultra alternates each year between the North Tyne & South Tyne Trails. 2019 will be the turn of the North Tyne Trail.

Starting at Deadwater, the source of the River North Tyne close to the Scottish Border, the route passes alongside the imposing Kielder reservoir and down through the beautiful valley to the ‘Meeting of the Waters’ at Warden, which is also the finish for the 75km challenge. Departing Warden, the route continues towards the industrial heritage of Tyneside and the ultra race finish in front of the historic Tynemouth Watch House Museum, a total distance of 150km (93 miles).
