Organiser's Description

Westonbirt is the National Arboretum, home to over 2,500 different species of tree! This includes 5 national collections, including rare trees from across the world. The route is incredibly beautiful, varied and interesting as you run through the different areas dedicated to specific species. The sold terrain underfoot gives you a surface more akin to a solid road surface, with all the beauty of a trail run.

Course Details

A beautiful route lined with trees of different ages and rare species.

The vast majority of the routes are on solid stone forest paths. The routes are largely very flat, with only a couple of little rises and falls. All our courses are very comprehensively marked and well marshalled so you can relax and enjoy your run

We have incredible FEAST stations to power you around the course, every 5km, loaded with tasty treats and refreshments including DF, GF and vegan snacks

How to Get There

Westonbirt is 30mins from Bristol, 40mins from Bath, 60mins from Cardiff, 1hr 45mins from London.

Parking

There is no parking / spectator charge on the night race as there is no option to extend your visit in the same way as there is with the day race, please note the event and site closes at 21:30 for the night race

Loved this race! The route was pretty, with the stars out in full bloom. But the Marshalls made this race for me!

Night race was thoroughly enjoyable. Really encouraging marshals, well-organised waves, and the track was nice and flat. Even with the horrible weather we’ve had, the mud didn’t affect the track. Will definitely run another race here in the future. Make sure you do bring a good, bright head/chest torch!
