Organiser's Description

The Glen Lyon Ultra is a 31.5 mile trail race with 4395 feet of climbing, set amongst stunning scenery in the Scottish Highlands, ideal for first-timers or seasoned ultra runners. The route takes in Glen Lyon and Glen Lochay. The majority is on trails, with an old B road section linking the two valleys. The route is fully marked and there are manned checkpoints with water and first aid available.

The 15.5 mile Trail Race goes around Glen Lyon and is a perfect race for those looking to try off-road running, or who are thinking about doing an ultra marathon. The route itself starts in front of the dam, it is fully marked, and is best described as undulating, but very runnable and all on trails. Both races take place every May.
