Organiser's Description
** The 2021 first Kong Mountain Marathon on the Isle of Arran has been postponed to the 4/5th June 2022.**
The Kong Mountain Marathon is designed to test both orienteering and fell running skills in extreme, wild, Scottish country terrain over a two day period.bTeams of two navigate their way over the Scottish hills, aiming to find a series of checkpoints as quickly as they can. Each team has to be self-sufficient and carry all their gear, including equipment and food for an overnight camp. There's a choice of 3 linear courses (A/Elite, B, C) and two score courses (Long/Short) to suit different levels of fitness and navigational expertise. The courses, and the overnight remote campsite location, are not disclosed until the team actually starts on Day 1.
After your weekend adventure you will be able to share your experiences with fellow competitors at a hearty meal and prize giving . 4/5 June 2022.
