The Rose of the Shires Ultra is back!

The second edition of this picturesque, single loop, circular race, in a fantastic central location, takes in the beauty of Northamptonshire's countryside - two country parks, Salcey Forest, the Grand Union Canal and 21 pretty villages and towns, as it follows parts of the Nene Way, the Midshires Way and the Northampton Round.

How To Get There And Parking

Our Race start and finish is hosted by the Brixworth Country Park, where there is plenty of room for parking (charges will apply). The Park is only 20 minutes drive from the M1 motorway.

Registration: from 06.45

Start: 08.00

Time Limit: The time limit is 13.5 hours. Progressive cut off times exist at later CPs. See CP information. Full CP Information.

Other Information

Age Limit: Due to the strenuous physical demands of running 54 miles in one day Rose of the Shires Ultra is restricted to competitors over 18 years of age only.

What to wear: It's late March and conditions will be changeable so please bear that in mind. Footwear is a matter of personal choice but we would recommend trail shoes.

Mandatory kit: Fully charged mobile phone, head torch and spare batteries.

Drinks & Refreshments: There are 6 well stocked check points and at check point 3 "The Spread Eagle at Piddington" there might be a nice surprise too.
