The Dare 12

Aberdare, Mid Glamorgan

Organiser's Description

The Dare 12 is a continuous looped 12 hour ultra-marathon, taking you through some of the most picturesque trails in South Wales. Run an 8k looped track as many times as you can in 12 hours, either on your own or as part of a team.

The event is held in the formidable grounds of the Dare Valley, backing onto the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The route winds its way around an old miner’s path, then joins a stunning track in the shadow of the Dare Mountain ridgeline. A speedy section through secluded woodland and streamside trail follows, before beginning the climb to the start of the ridgeline. Outstanding views await as the route reaches ‘Y Ddraig Goch’ (The Red Dragon flag), then another winding speed section loops around through ancient forest to the finish line. When it comes to trail running, Wales has so much to offer!
