Race information will be sent by email pre-event and all your race details can be found within your online profile. Once registered login to check race updates, news, partner offers and more.

THE EVENT

The run will kick off at 10am

Please note that the start of the run will be staggered to avoid too much congestion on the towpaths. However this will not affect your time as our Results Base timing team will record your time from when you cross the starting mat.

Toilets will be within the event hub and ensure you go with plenty of time to spare to avoid long queues.

There will be marshals around the course to support and encourage you.

Please take care when running around the course as this is public land and local residents will be out and about. Please always stay on the left unless otherwise guided.

If wearing headphones please make sure you can hear other people around you and marshal instructions.

FAQs

Can I register on the day of the event?

This is possible only if the event isn’t sold out. This will be stated on the website prior to the event.

When do I receive my race pack?

We email you your race number and details and this also goes on the website prior to the event so you can search if you haven’t received your email for any reason. You then collect your race packs at registration on the morning of the event.

How do I know I am registered?

You will receive an email confirming your entry. If a friend or colleague has entered as long as they have used your email address in the entry you will receive confirmation.

Will I receive race information in the lead up to my event?

Yes we send out email updates prior to your event and you can view all event details, news and offers by logging in to your user profile.

Will I be chipped timed?

Yes all our events (unless otherwise stated) are chip timed! In most cases you will use our disposable race chips. You need to ensure you put these on correctly on your shoe (race instructions will be given via email and this info is on your event information page on your event page).

Can I find the race number list prior to the event?

Yes, your event race list will be online approximately a week prior to your event. Please make a note of your race number and that of friends as you will collect your race pack on the morning of the run.

What happens if I don't receive my race email?

If you don’t receive your race email it may be because the wrong email address was inputted or the race email went in to your junk mail so please check carefully. All information will can be found by logging in to your user profile and your race number will show within this account area.

Can I enter a team?

Absolutely! Get as many friends, family or colleagues together and run as a team. You are not required to run together and each person will receive their own time however it's just fun to run under a team name.

Can I run with a buggy?

Yes this is typically ok for most locations however please check the run route course as some locations can be a mix of path, trail, grass so not always suitable for running with a buggy. Also please try and stay to the left as much as possible to give room for other runners.

Can I volunteer to marshal at the event?

Absolutely! If you miss out on a place or just want to help out on the day and marshal that would be great. You would be there to support and encourage all entrants. Contact us by filling the form to express your interest. We would welcome you to join our team.

A really good route. A few lovely steep killer hills but also a bit downhill to give you a break!

I did the half marathon on Sunday at Heaton Park. Great run and included a fair bit of elevation which was good and challenging. Everything was straightforward on the day with the exception of them being able to find my paper race number (happened to multiple people in the queue too). We were given an alternative number and whilst the chip still worked and was linked to my name (so I could check my time), it wasn’t included in the race ranking/position. It recorded my time but position was unknown. Quite disappointing but other than, a good run.

A fun, small scale event. Volunteers and staff were great on the day in terms of helping and cheering. Route was enjoyable and had a few hills to make it a good challenge for beginners! Snacks and drinks provided as well as finishers medal and timing printouts! Would recommend.

Brilliant event. Completed the 10k Winter Warmer Run on sunday 2nd February in Manchester. Brilliant event and very well organised from registration to bag drop and the course itself. Loved the addition of being able to check my finish time instantly from a screen! Will definitely return next year and recommend to friends.

Brilliant run well organised. This is an amazing race with some fantastic scenery. The event was well organised from the off with the race organisers doing an amazing job in revving up the atmosphere. The run itself is lovely mix of undulating hills and flats with just enough to test even the most ardent of runners. Dare I say that you will get a PB on this course???? Well there certainly is no reason not too that's for sure!!!! The marshals were fantastic throughout and all in all a great experience. We'll worth the effort despite the weather
