The Tour of Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo gives everyone, including those who have little or no race experience, the chance to give-it-a-go, to compete against others in the same Masters age group, and to qualify and ride for their nation at the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Road Race. The qualification distance for women is 70 miles, 19-59yrs men is 100 miles, and 60+ yrs men is 70 miles. Minimum age 19yrs on 31 December 2020. The fastest 20% of riders in each Masters age group from the Road Race and Gran Fondo combined will be invited to ride for their nation at the UCI GF World Championships.
The Gran Fondo is held on fully closed roads and is a mass participation, chip timed event with a mass start.
