Top of the Wolds 10K Challenge

Warter, East Yorkshire

Menai Bridge War Memorial Community Centre, Water Street, Menai Bridge, UK

Sun 2nd June 2019

Organiser's Description

A scenic, rural race around Nunburnholme Wold in East Yorkshire. Starting from the attractive village of Warter, best noted for its much photographed row of thatched cottages, thatch being a most unusual roof covering in the Wolds, the race heads out along a scenic backwater lane towards the village of Nunburnholme, which forms part of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Take a left to climb Nunburnholme Hill, with spectacular and far-reaching views, then leave the road and hit the bridleway trail, descending through woodland. As you emerge into the sunlight (it’s June, fingers crossed) take a right and return to Warter village.
