Organiser's Description
Take on a Sprint or Standard Distance Triathlon or Aquathlon around the market town and surrounding scenic moorland, including a trail run up to the iconic Jubilee Tower!
This Triathlon is an exceptional choice for those wanting to take on a pool swim in Darwen Leisure leisure centre before taking in the stunning views alongside a challenging course with some steep uphills and, rolling downhills and a scenic trail run up to the tower before returning with a downhill finish past Bold Venture Park back into the town to finish in the market square.
The sprint Triathlon consist of a 750m swim, followed by the 20km bike route and a 5k run.
The Standard distance completes a 1500m pool swim and the 2 laps of the bike & runs course, to make these 40km & 10km respectively.
If the full triathlons not for you, then not to worry, you can join us for an Aquathlon version or just the running sections.
Times and Distances:
7:00am- Standard Aquathlon -1500m swim, 10k run – 2 laps of run course
07:00am – Standard Distance Triathlon -1500m swim, 40km bike (2laps), 10k run (2 laps)
08:00am – Sprint Distance- 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
8:00am- Sprint Aquathlon -750m swim, 5k run – 1 lap of run course
9:00am- 10k Trail Run -2 laps of the run course
9:00am- 5k Trail Run -1 lap of the run course

IF YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY HOLD A BTF TRIATHLON MEMBERSHIP, PLEASE SELECT ‘NON-MEMBER’ AT CHECKOUT TO ENSURE YOU ARE FULLY INSURED FOR THE EVENT. BTF MEMBERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD/ OR PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP ON THE DAY.

There will be toilets a short distance from the transition area.
Water Stations:
There will be a water station provided on the run for you to help yourself to. Please bring your own supplies for the bike element & in transition should you wish.
Toilets:
Toilets will be available in the Sports Centre for use throughout the event.
Changing Rooms/Showers:
Changing rooms/showers will be available in the Sports Centre.
Wheelchairs:
This event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the terrain.
Spectators:
Spectators are permitted at this event.
Earphones/Headphones:
The use of earphones/headphones is prohibited throughout this event.
Results
Event Chip Timing will record your times. Results will be live at https://results.runthrough.co.uk throughout and after the race.
