Open Water Swimathon is back and taking place at venues all across the UK! There are distances for everyone, from 500m to 5k. This is your chance to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie, two causes close to the Nation's heart, all whilst taking on an amazing challenge.
Choose to take part in an organised session at one of our registered venues, or at a time and place that suits you from Friday 30 August to Sunday 15 September with our flexible MySwimathon option. You can even select your own bespoke distance! Your open water journey starts here – secure your spot today!
On the Queen’s Dock by the River Mersey, this saltwater swimming venue provides different distances to cater for all levels of swimmer. Circuit - 250m, 500m, 1000m loops.

Well organised. The swimathon at Liverpool Watersports Centre was well organised, people very friendly and good changing facilities. Lockers need a 20p coin (non refundable). Showers excellent very powerful and hot.
Unfortunately there were no timing chips given out so no official time, luckily not a problem for me as I swim with a watch. There were hundreds of jellyfish in the docks which was a bit freaky but I got used to them after the first lap...not sure if I would want to swim with them regularly.
