Course Details
Both Long and Short events start with a swim at high tide at South Milton Sands. Swimmers will start right on peak high tide and so swim with the flow.
Both Swim Runs follow the South West coastpath from South Milton Sands, to Outer Hope, where the second swim leg takes place. Here swimrunners swim to Inner Hope (a 750m swim) then run back to South Milton Sands. Swimrunners continue on to Salcombe’s North Sands for the third swim leg before running back along the coast path and Long swimrunners take their final swim from Inner Hope to Outer Hope (opposite direction). Both short and Long swim runs end at South Milton Sands, via a short inland section to East Soar.
Rocky Horror LONG 20 miles: 4 swim legs and 4 run legs, (swim 1.7 miles/run 18.3 miles)
Rocky Horror SHORT 8.5 miles: 3 swim legs and 3 run legs (swim 1.4 miles/run 7.1 miles)
Rocky Ending Sprint: 3.5 miles: 2 swim legs and 2 run legs (swim 1 mile/run 2.5 miles)
