Well organised, easy to find and park. The course was a nice route few hill that got harder as route went on. Plenty of drink stations and supporters along the way. Enjoyed it.

This is a really enjoyable event. I completed the 10k. The event was well organised, you weren’t bombarded with emails after registration but you got all the information you needed in a timely manner. Staff and participants were friendly beforehand and there were more than adequate toilets. A coffee van that had oat and soya options as well as dairy along plant-based flapjacks was very much appreciated by this vegan. I’ve run a number of 10ks over the past three years but I did struggle slightly - as someone more accustomed to level courses - with the frequent undulations of the Carsington Course. Nothing impossible or harmful, but it meant I was a few minutes slower completing the course than I anticipated. The ground is mainly gravel, but firm - I did it in road run footwear without ever feeling I’d slip - and it did give you the opportunity to get your head up and look at the enormous reservoir. The 10k course is about 3/4 of the circumference of the reservoir and as you near the end there is a good view across the water of the work you’ve done. Very enjoyable and I hope to come back - and make a better fist of the climbs!

Wasn't sure if this was going to go ahead as a result of Storm Darragh but, when I asked, the team responded fast to reassure me it was. Luckily Carsington seemed to escape the weather so it was generally pleasant conditions, a tad of rain and some wind but nothing major. The run is indeed undulating as others have said- I initially rated 3 stars because I found the course really challenging, but then figured this isn't the organiser's fault, just my personal preference! 170m elevation gain over the 13 miles but a lot of this is around mile 8, so it can be a tough finish. Quiet during the race too, no spectators and I had runners about 60m in front and behind me, so if you like a buzzing atmosphere it's not the one for you. However, Carsington is stunning so if you want more of a challenge on a stunning course with some space and quiet to hear yourself think, definitely go for it. Male, 34, finished 2h16m.

Good event and well organised. The course was very slippy and muddy in places, a few people I saw go over. I would like to do it again when we’ve not had as much rain.

Well organised, plenty of very convenient parking. The route is superb and nice to have a circular route. Good access to amenities and refreshments. The only issue for me is that as the weather was so cold the water from the half way drink station was frozen and I couldn’t get a drink. But I thoroughly enjoyed the event.

Great run and organisation but be prepared for the hills down the one side. It had rained a lot prior to the run and trail shoes would have been better than the road shoes I had on. Quite tough but great location and very enjoyable.

Can’t fault the organisation or the volunteers that helped run the event. It was super friendly and a beautiful setting. The route itself is definitely testing, you no sooner finish a hill than you’re going up another one and there is next to no flat except for along the dam, at which pint you are battered by the wind. It’s not an easy route but an event well worth doing.
