Course Description

This is a 2 lap clockwise course around the stunning Melton Country park. A fast start downhill from the Visitors Centre, the route takes you over a narrow wooden bridge over the lake, under a disused railway arch and on to the challenging uphill section. Once this has been overcome there is a long forgiving downhill section before turning around the allotments and over a second wooden bridge. By now the route is almost totally flat as it takes you between football pitches, across a small sealed tarmac area and back towards the lake. On the first lap, runners are to stay close to the water and rejoin the lap at the first wooden bridge again. On the second lap, runners are to peel off to run towards the Visitors Centre and finish on the grass nearby.
